Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad (PAMB), together with Prudence Foundation, celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Cha-Ching Curriculum in Malaysia with Karnival Cha-Ching 2026 at SJKC Wangsa Maju, marking a decade of empowering young Malaysians with financial knowledge and practical life skills.Since its introduction in Malaysia in 2016, the Cha-Ching Curriculum has reached over 290,000 students, trained more than 4,600 teachers and been implemented in over 2,000 schools across 11 states nationwide. The programme is supported through collaboration with the Ministry of Education Malaysia, Junior Achievement Malaysia, Pertubuhan Dana Kita and Prudence Foundation.

Reflecting on the milestone, Chee Foong Wai, Chief Customer, Marketing & Product Officer of Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad, said: “Financial literacy is one of the most valuable life skills we can give a child. Through Cha-Ching, we are helping children develop positive money habits from a young age, empowering them to make informed decisions, act responsibly, and navigate the future with confidence.”

She added that the programme’s focus on the four core concepts of earning, saving, spending and donating helps children develop practical skills and positive habits that can support them throughout life.

As Cha-Ching enters its next decade in Malaysia, Prudential and Prudence Foundation aim to broaden the programme’s reach, particularly to underserved and indigenous communities, while strengthening the capabilities of teachers so that financial education can continue to be delivered independently and sustainably in schools.

The programme is also extending financial learning beyond the classroom through Cha-Ching Money Adventure, an interactive online resource designed for parents and children to explore financial concepts together. By making financial literacy a shared experience at home, the platform aims to encourage positive financial habits while fostering meaningful conversations between parents and children about decisions that can shape their future.

Philip Shin, Senior Director of Prudence Foundation, said: “As Cha-Ching enters its next decade in Malaysia, we want to take financial education even further by reaching more children and communities, empowering teachers to continue delivering these lessons, and bringing financial learning into the home. Our ambition is to make financial literacy an everyday life skill that children can carry with them into the future.”
