A fever usually indicates that your child’s little body is busy fighting an infection. It could be caused by anything from a cold to a more serious infection and often enough, each presents with its own symptoms.
Listed here are some of those symptoms to watch out for. However, the information provided is meant to be used only as your diagnosis starting point (do keep in mind that your child may not have all the symptoms listed for each illness).
Be sure to consult your pediatrician to confirm the diagnosis, and always call the doctor if a baby under three months is running a fever of 100.4ºF or higher, or if a child older than that is running a fever of 101.5ºF or more.
